Colorwheel Studio, which opened in 1990, is an art school offering year round quality fine arts instruction for children and adults. For nineteen years Colorwheel Studio was located in a storefront at 1959 6th Ave. W. on Queen Anne in Seattle, WA.

Thousands of students from all parts of Seattle and its suburbs have taken classes with Jeff and Kay Benesi, the founders and teachers at Colorwheel. In the summer of 2009 Colorwheel Studio moved to a new location, the home studio of the Benesi’s which is located just two blocks west of the original location. The same exceptional classes continue to be taught at the new location, the only difference is class size. Because the new studio is smaller, classes are limited to six or seven students at a time.

The studio has several windows and tract lighting which creates a cheerful space to work in. Students enter through a gate on the side of the residence and there is a fenced backyard available for breaks during the warmer months of the year.

Many Colorwheel students continue year after year, and when their siblings become old enough they begin taking classes as well. Framed pieces of artwork done at Colorwheel studio are on display in homes all over Seattle and vicinity. Jeff and Kay greatly enjoy teaching art and hope to continue for many years.
