Kay Benesi received her BFA in painting and teaching certificate in art from Michigan State University in 1971. Her experience includes assisting her husband Jeff in teaching art at the UW extention program and teaching children age 4–12 at Colorwheel Studio since 1992.

Jeff and Kay have lived on Queen Anne Hill since 1974. They have two grown sons and three grandchildren.

Jeff Benesi earned his BS degree in Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University in 1970. In 1980 he recieved a BFA in painting and teaching certificate in art from the University of Washington.

Jeff taught children’s art through the spectrum program at the UW for eight years and had the vision for opening his own art school on Queen Anne, which he did in 1990. He has taught at Colorwheel Studio ever since its opening, as well as working full time at several different architectural firms in Seattle. He is currently employed with Mithun Architects.
